This is my daughter's new blog - not really a website, but I thought you may be interested. I am of course immensely proud of her. She is studying Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art , London and has to do a blog as part of her course. Check it out - I am sure you will learn something about art and see an eclectic mix of work. Recently one of my customers sent me a very unusual 'thank-you' for fixing one of her favourite necklaces. It was a fantastic box of little biscuits personalised with 'thank-you' on them. You can see them in the picture. It was very special because it was such a novel idea. My children also said they tasted delicious, so go onto the site and see all the fantastic things they can do with biscuits and all the messages you can send. My daughter Rosie is a bit of an Imelda Marcos and likes to buy lots of shoes and they all have to be pretty wacky. This brilliant shop is up in Carnaby Street, so make sure you go and visit next time you're in London. If you are looking for unique handcrafted gifts, this is the website you need. I had a stall next to Paul who is the craftsman behind Berry Wood Crafts at one of the craft fairs I attended recently and it was just coming up to Father's Day, so I bought my husband an amazing 400 year old rustic platter like the one in the picture and he loved it. They are all extremely affordable too. It is great to support a local craftsman, so click on the pic for the link to see his full range. . www.tflorancephotography.co.uk On the first Saturday of every month I exhibit at the Farnham Maltings Craft Fair and on the stall opposite me is a very talented photographer - Tracy Florance. She travels the world taking pictures of famous landmarks from unique viewpoints and she captures many unusual sights such as a selection of amazing graffiti in Australia. Go to her website for more, or come and visit us both at Farnham Maltings. www.cheekylittleprintsandgifts.co.uk I met Lisa, who runs Cheeky Little Prints at another fair in the summer and really wished I had met her when my children were little. She makes a variety of handmade gifts with babies/children's fingerprints/footprints on them, in sterling silver or ceramics. A great keepsake or a gift for the Grandparents! |
